Not long ago, a little-known local TV couple, Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza (who plays the character Yaya Dub), took the world by surprise when they surpassed the Twitter record of the 2014 Fifa World Cup with 41 million tweets. Yes, that's 41 million with a capital 'M.'
They eventually appeared in a movie bank-rolled by Vic Sotto's M-Zet Productions last December 2015 in the controversial Metro Manila Film Festival.
